Did you know how to get to the Normandy coast without taking the A13? We've got all the information you need to get started!
Just a stone's throw from the hotel is the cycle route that will take you all the way to the sea, passing through some not-to-be-missed sites: the Véloscénie!
The Best Western Plus Paris Saclay suggests this superb 450km route linking Paris to Mont Saint-Michel. Launched in 2012, this trail dedicated to 2-wheelers takes you on a journey of discovery through the history of France, passing by some of its most beautiful monuments.
Departing from Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, the tour takes in our beautiful département of Yvelines and invites you to make some unique discoveries, such as the home of Elsa Triolet and Louis Aragon in Saint-Arnoult, the Château de Rambouillet and the magnificent landscapes of the Vallée de Chevreuse near Jouy-en-Josas, the not-to-be-missed Château de Versailles and the Château de Maintenon.
The cycle route takes in Chartres, the capital of stained glass and light, and takes you past the cathedral. Then take a breath of fresh air as you wind your way through the Eure through France's granary. The Véloscénie will take you through the Perche and the Normandy bocage, discovering its green countryside lined with villages, mills and manor houses, the birthplace of the famous Percheron horse, the lace of Alençon, the thermal baths of Bagnoles de l'Orne, and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
There is so much to say and discover about this part of our beautiful country.
For those who might (obviously) be scared off by the 450km, you can do only certain sections.
As a reminder, our hotel is bike-friendly, so don't hesitate to stop for a break, a meal or even an overnight stay.
Don't wait any longer, get on your bikes!
